The Psychology course at ILSASS includes practical components, allowing students to gain hands-on experience through lab-based training, psychological testing, and real-world case analysis. Students learn to administer, score, and interpret tools such as the Rorschach Inkblot Test, Thematic Apperception Test (TAT), various standardized IQ and Personality assessments, and engage in experiments exploring human cognition and behavior. This practical learning is guided by expert faculty who are also practicing mental health professionals, ensuring real-world relevance and deep mentorship.
Fifty percent of the minor courses are offered from other disciplines such as Journalism and Mass Communication, Politics and International Relations, and English Language and Literature, giving Psychology students the flexibility to explore interdisciplinary perspectives. The remaining fifty percent includes psychology-specific minor modules that enrich the core curriculum.
Additionally, students with eligible marks can opt for a Research Dissertation in the 7th and 8th Semesters, while others may pursue Case Study Projects, Internships, or Fieldwork Practicum worth 6 credits. These options are designed to build strong research skills, critical thinking abilities, and applied knowledge, preparing students for diverse career paths in counseling, clinical psychology, organizational behavior, research, and beyond.
