Message from the I/C Principal
Welcome to ILSASS
Welcome to the Institute of Language Studies and Applied
Social Sciences (ILSASS), CVM University.
A university education begins with the questions students bring to it.
At ILSASS, we encourage them to pursue those questions with curiosity,
intellectual honesty and openness to perspectives beyond their own.
The study of language, literature and the social sciences offers a rich
way to understand human experience and the changing world in which we live.
Learning here extends beyond the syllabus and the examination hall.
We want students to develop the confidence to articulate an argument,
the patience to examine evidence and the sensitivity to listen before
forming a judgement. Classroom conversations, research, creative work
and wider academic activities each have a part to play in that growth.
Our faculty seek to support students as they discover their interests
and prepare for the paths they choose to follow.
To prospective students, ILSASS offers an invitation to read widely,
think independently and make your voice heard. To those already part
of our community, I hope your time here continues to challenge and
inspire you. I warmly welcome you to ILSASS.
Dr. Najma Pathan
