My journey at the Institute of Language Studies and Applied Social Sciences (ILSASS), CVM University, has been an inspiring and transformative experience that has shaped both my academic and professional life. From the outset, the institution provided me with platforms to explore my interests and hone my skills beyond the traditional classroom setting.
One of the highlights of my time here was participating and winning in the Youth Festival, which boosted my confidence and encouraged me to take on more leadership roles. I had the privilege of contributing to and organizing Encuesta – The Quizzing Carnival, one of the most intellectually stimulating and engaging events of our college, which sharpened my research, teamwork, and event management abilities.
Additionally, my active involvement in Model United Nations (MUNs), where I not only participated but also chaired several prestigious conferences, allowed me to develop critical thinking, public speaking, and diplomacy skills. These experiences played a significant role in building my interest in politics, international relations, and governance.
My academic journey was further enriched through a practical learning experience during my internship at the District Magistrate Office, where I gained firsthand insight into administrative functioning and public service delivery. This exposure helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world governance practices.
Throughout my years at ILSASS, the continuous encouragement and guidance from faculty members have enabled me to grow into a confident, informed, and socially responsible individual. The diverse opportunities—from cultural festivals to academic competitions and internships—have contributed immensely to shaping my career aspirations and personal development.
As I step forward into new endeavors, I am grateful for the strong foundation that ILSASS has provided, and I carry with me the skills, values, and learnings that this institution has instilled in me.

There are places that shape you, and then there are places that become a part of you. ILSASS, for me, is the latter. I walked through its gates as the first student of the college- a young, curious individual hoping to understand the world of media. What I found was far more than textbooks and assignments. I found purpose. I found belonging.
It was here, in the classrooms and corridors, that the fog of uncertainty slowly cleared and the fundamentals of journalism and mass communication, and eventually cinema studies lit up a path I didn't know I was meant to walk. Had it not been for learnings at ILSASS, I wouldn't have been able to position myself at the most premier media institution in India for my post graduation. The faculty, more like mentors than mere instructors, didn’t just teach- they nurtured. Their belief in me, especially in those formative years, has stayed like a quiet strength all through.
Years later, when I returned to pursue my PhD, the college felt like home again- older, wiser, and yet warmly familiar. I often say the institution and I have grown together, witnessing its evolution and its silent triumphs. And in many ways, it has witnessed mine.
To call it just a college would be an understatement. It’s where I discovered my calling, my voice, and the kind of person I wanted to become. It will always remain one of the most intimate chapters of my life story.

"My name is Krupali Ruparel, and I am currently employed with MKBU at KBPCCS, Mahuva, as an assistant professor of English. As a proud ILSASS alumna, I have to admit that the friendly atmosphere of the college and the kindness of the instructors have always encouraged me to develop my skills and deepen my appreciation for the arts. Because it has given me the platform and all the chances I need to demonstrate and hone my skills, I even currently run my own Academy of Music and Dance. In addition, ELT, my primary passion, has given me a distinct viewpoint that sets me apart from the competition in addition to equipping me with all the abilities and methods I need to teach. I'm incredibly appreciative of ILSASS, which has always been like family to me and has helped me shape who I am today."

My time at ILSASS played a pivotal role in shaping my career as a Business Development Manager at DS Group, one of India’s leading conglomerates. The college’s dynamic curriculum, industry-aligned programs, and focus on practical learning equipped me with the skills to thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment.
The BA-JMC program laid a strong foundation in strategic thinking, market analysis, and relationship management—skills I use daily to drive growth and build partnerships.
